Halfbrick Studios, teaming up with Ian Fitz, the mastermind behind the original The Thrill of the Fight (2016), has just dropped a much-anticipated sequel to this favorite boxing simulator. You can now dive into The Thrill of the Fight 2 in Early Access on your Quest devices.
This reimagined sequel is available for all Quest headset users, including those with Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro. While the first game focused on PvE battles, this new installment introduces a major feature that fans have been eagerly waiting for: online PvP boxing.
Halfbrick Studios has mentioned that this initial release will focus exclusively on multiplayer modes, allowing players who are keen on online competition to hop right in and start slugging it out. They further assured that single-player content and enhancements to the multiplayer experience are under development and will roll out gradually throughout the early access phase.
The game will continue evolving through 2025, bringing in single-player content such as competitive AI with dynamically generated behaviors and appearances, along with expanded training modes. Players can look forward to consistent updates that will refine and expand the game’s immersive boxing experience.
Currently, players can enjoy creating customizable avatars, engaging in online PvP matches with skill-based matchmaking, and experiencing highly realistic physics that promise to deliver another “realistic boxing feel.”
The Thrill of the Fight 2 also introduces a spectator camera feature, allowing your friends to watch your brawls from a PC with a live sports-style camera setup.
You can snag The Thrill of the Fight 2 on the Horizon Store today, and it’s priced quite affordably at $10.
