Alien: Rogue Incursion is dropping today for PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, and fans of the Xenomorph-laden horror-shooter will be excited to hear that the Quest version is set to launch next February. What’s more, developer Survios has announced that they’re already hard at work on ‘Part Two’ of the game.
Having dived into Part One for a comprehensive review, we awarded the game a strong 7 out of 10. It boasts an engrossing atmosphere and a gripping storyline, though it’s somewhat marred by repetitive enemy encounters and a pretty tough save system.
Even though it could stand alone as a game within the series, offering around eight hours of alien-loaded content and smart storytelling, you’re definitely going to be eager for the sequel by the time you wrap up Part One’s action.
We’re not entirely sure what’s coming next, but there’s hope for some fresh variety beyond just relentless Xenomorph hordes. Survios has teased that Part Two will continue Zula’s story, throwing her into battles against more formidable foes and greater challenges, and work on it is already underway.
But first, we’re looking forward to the Quest release of Part One, slated to be exclusive to Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Packing all those intricately layered levels, detailed visuals, and physics-based interactions onto Quest 3’s mobile hardware was no small feat, likely the reason behind the original delay.
With the foundational elements of Part One already established, we’re hopeful for a quick follow-up in Zula Hendricks’ upcoming (and potentially final) battle to rid the wayward science station of every last acidic exhaling Xenomorph.
