Happy New Year, Travelers! The Genshin Impact team is thrilled to ring in 2025 with you. We’re eager to share exciting news about the upcoming Version 5.4 “Moonlight Amidst Dreams,” scheduled for release on February 12. Prepare to return to the captivating land of Electro, Inazuma, where a spectacular celebration awaits. Join Yumemizuki Mizuki, your new ally, and reunite with familiar faces like Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko for the Mikawa Flower Festival. This mystical event beautifully merges the worlds of humans and youkai, inviting everyone to joyously celebrate under Inazuma’s enchanting moonlight.
An Unforgettable Celebration of Humans and Youkai
The Mikawa Flower Festival, nestled at the base of Inazuma’s Mt. Yougou, is set to dazzle more than ever this year. Once an ancient gathering of youkai, it has evolved into a lively celebration welcoming both humans and youkai. This vibrant festival blends time-honored traditions with new bonds in a truly memorable way. A new addition to this year’s event is the “48-hour Game Development Competition.” And here’s a little teaser: Raiden Shogun will make a special appearance, with whispers of her investigating a peculiar nightmare tied to an old acquaintance…
In this creative competition, humans and youkai team up over two days to craft original games. Thanks to the Kitsune Meal’s magic, youkai can now communicate in human languages, paving the way for collaborative projects that blend mystical and human creativity to produce exciting new mini-games!
In the first entry, “A Little Fox’s Daydream,” Mizuki and Kokomi lead us on a whimsical adventure through ever-changing dreamscapes. Navigate a small fox between delightful dreams and nightmarish paths to gather fried tofu while reaching its destination.
Next up, “Bunshin Phantasm” challenges players with strategic gameplay led by Sayu, Yoimiya, and Kichiboushi. Guide adorable Muji-Muji Daruma that mimic your movements to activate pressure plates and forge a path to triumph!
Don’t miss “Akitsu Harpastum: Dreams Doubled,” a collaboration between Thoma and his youkai companions. Experience a creative take combining the classic “Akitsu Yuugei” brick breaker game with Mondstadt’s harpastum, ideal for solo play or co-op fun! Winning these mini-games earns you Festival Stamps exchangeable for enticing rewards, including the 4-star polearm, “Tamayuratei no Ohanashi.”
Baku, Bathhouses, and Dreams
The Aisa Bathhouse has introduced bespoke Mikawa Flower Festival-themed bathrobes, supported by Yumemizuki Mizuki, the latest 5-star character and major shareholder! As a yumekui-baku, Mizuki consumes nightmares. She uses this ability, alongside her expertise as a clinical psychologist, to help clients face deep-seated fears. Among them is a Natlanese warrior grappling with a haunting condition post-Night Warden Wars. In Mizuki’s Story Quest, you’ll get the chance to visit Aisa Bathhouse personally, possibly experiencing her dream-altering treatment yourself.
In battle, Mizuki excels as a 5-star Anemo catalyst wielder, acting as a versatile support character who seamlessly combines Swirl DMG and healing. Her talents make her invaluable across various team configurations, such as Pyro, Electro, Hydro, or Cryo Element teams, while amplifying Swirl DMG to boost the team’s overall damage potential. Her Elemental Skill transforms her into the graceful Dreamdrifter state, dealing periodic AoE Anemo DMG and enhancing the team’s Swirl DMG.
Mizuki’s healing capabilities adjust based on her team’s conditions. Her Elemental Burst attracts foes and spawns “Yumemi Style Special Snacks.” Depending on the active character’s HP, these snacks provide healing or inflict AoE Anemo DMG. Her unique skill also raises healing effects, giving an extra 30% HP recovery when teammates use HP Recovery Dishes.
Here’s a pro tip for Mizuki in combat: in her Dreamdrifter state, her reach for Yumemi Style Special Snacks increases, simplifying their collection during intense battles.
The Event Wishes for Version 5.4 feature Yumemizuki Mizuki’s debut alongside Sigewinne’s rerun in the first phase, followed by Furina and Wriothesley reruns in the second phase. Mizuki joins the Standard Wish banner from Version 5.5 onwards.

Enhancing Your Experience
Lastly, we’re excited to announce ongoing optimizations aimed at simplifying your character development journey.
The “Training Guide” will now include Level-Up Plans. Set your leveling goals, and the system will estimate the material requirements and pinpoint their locations. Key interfaces will also remind you of necessary materials, visible in the Adventurer Handbook, Domain entrances, Domain completion screens, and Battle Pass rewards.
Crafting is becoming easier! By selecting “Craftable Amount,” you can instantly teleport to a Crafting Bench. Plus, an Auto Add feature is debuting in the Weapon Refinement interface, making the process quicker.
