Hello and welcome to our first post of 2025! From all of us at Team Asobi, we’re sending our best wishes for an amazing year ahead.
Last year was quite the adventure with the launch of Astro Bot, our most ambitious game yet. Not only did it scoop up numerous game awards, but it also garnered heaps of warm and wonderful feedback from you, our beloved players.
Your kind words and support have made all the hard work feel incredibly rewarding. So, from the depths of our little robotic hearts, thank you immensely.
Now, let’s dive into some exciting news! We’re kicking off the year with an announcement that’s sure to thrill Astro Bot fans—starting today, fresh Astro Bot content is rolling out. If you caught the PlayStation XP Tournament Final in London on January 18th, you might have noticed an unreleased level of Astro Bot featured there. Well, that level, along with four additional ones, is heading your way as part of the all-new Vicious Void Galaxy.
As always, this update is our gift to you, the Astro Bot community, absolutely free of charge.
Here’s the schedule for these five levels, which will be released weekly:
- Feb 13: Tick-Tock Shock
- Feb 20: Thrust or Bust
- Feb 27: Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
- Mar 6: Hard to Bear
- Mar 13: Armored Hardcore
Mark your calendars: all updates from February 13 to March 13 will drop every Thursday at 6:00am PT, 2:00pm GMT, and 10:00pm JST.
This new batch ups the ante compared to our previous Winter Wonder update, offering tougher challenges to put your platforming skills to the test. Each level introduces a brand-new Special Bot to save, and once you accomplish the rescue mission, you can try your hand at Time Attack mode with online leaderboards. Just make sure you’ve completed the main game to access them. Time to dust off those skills and dive back in!
Starting on February 13, “Tick Tock Shock” will kick off the series of new levels.
Wait, there’s more! For those of you wielding a PS5 Pro, we’re thrilled to announce that you’ll experience an upgraded version of Astro Bot. This enhanced edition delivers the best resolution possible while maintaining a silky-smooth 60 frames per second.
That wraps up our update for now. We truly hope you enjoy the new content. We’re deeply grateful for your ongoing support. The way Astro has been embraced in so many homes brings us immense joy. Your positive feedback and kindness have buoyed us along the way, and continue to warm our little robotic hearts. Thanks for your unwavering loyalty. We’ll catch you around!
Over and out from Team Asobi.
