Hold onto your controllers, gamers! Social media is buzzing with some juicy 2XKO news that’s set to make this month far more thrilling than anticipated. So, what’s all the fuss about? Well, it’s the announcement of an upcoming development update video. We can finally pinpoint that a detailed rundown on changes to the game, especially regarding Jinx, and the next phase of Alpha Lab testing is on the way—how’s that for exciting?
The news comes straight from Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO, who took to Twitter to share the latest scoop. He excitedly tweeted, “We just wrapped up filming for the next 2XKO update! We’re in the midst of editing, producing, and localizing it, but here’s a sneak peek: Expect an in-depth look at the gameplay changes since our first Alpha Lab, with special highlights on Jinx. Plus, we’ll provide context and insights on Alpha Lab 2 and feature a showmatch with our dev team.”
In his tweet, Ben also added, “This update is quite comprehensive, running for about an hour—give or take. We’re aiming to release it by the last week of March. While we’re not diving into PowerPoint livestreams just yet, who knows what’s coming down the line?”
But don’t get too carried away just yet. Ben also mentioned that this update won’t include any new character reveals, so maybe hold off on placing any bets or speculations in that department.
Reflecting on the past, the 2XKO crew wrapped up last year with a “See you next year” along with a promise of fresh info in February. Switches in the game plan came directly from game director Shaun Rivera’s Twitter feed, outlining some strategic shifts and hinting at a new fuse for the game.
It appears there have been some internal shifts at Riot, tweaking the timeline and strategy for the Alpha Lab tests, moving the anticipated February update to the current month. Still, with the game’s release on the horizon, it’s a perfect time for some new intel to see where 2XKO is headed and what’s in the pipeline.
