Free Lives has revealed that the hilariously chaotic combat simulator, GORN, which first delighted fans in 2019, is about to receive a sequel. Next week, fans can dive into the melee madness once more as GORN 2 launches on both Quest and SteamVR headsets, packing even more outrageous action.
Brought to life by the creative minds at Free Lives and Cortopia, with Devolver Digital handling publishing duties, GORN 2 invites you to step back into the arena to face off against gladiators the size of refrigerators. True to its predecessor, this sequel amplifies the madness with a slew of new weapons, combat arenas, devious traps, and formidable enemies and bosses.
In an exciting development, the studios have announced that their latest foray into physics-driven combat will arm players with 35 different weapons. You’ll use these tools of destruction to navigate through ethereal realms inhabited by the fallen heroes from the original game.
The campaign promises a heart-pounding three to four hours of gameplay, featuring a series of five challenging bosses. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—after you conquer the campaign, GORN 2 offers an Endless Mode for unending combat fun. Additionally, players can experiment with custom configurations through the game’s Custom Mode, creating their own adventures with personalized arsenals and enemy lineups.
Set your calendars for April 17, when GORN 2 officially lands in the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and newer devices, as well as on PC VR through Steam. Although those with PSVR 2 headsets will have to hold tight for a bit longer, as their version is slated for a summer release—exact dates are still under wraps.
