Balatro, the addictive poker-themed roguelike, has now surpassed the impressive milestone of five million copies sold. Harvey Elliott, CEO of the publisher PlayStack, shared this exciting news with the audience at Pocket Gamer Connects London 2025. According to our friends at PocketGamer.biz, Elliott emphasized that this accomplishment is nothing short of “incredible.”
Back in December, the game had already achieved significant success with 3.5 million copies sold. The indie title’s journey was further propelled by its big win at The Game Awards, which undoubtedly boosted its sales.
Elliott remarked, “Reaching five million sales for any game is a remarkable achievement and truly calls for celebration. Achieving this in less than a year since its launch is extraordinary, especially considering it was created by a solo developer.”
He expressed immense pride in the game’s creator, LocalThunk, and applauded the entire PlayStack team for their unwavering support, ensuring the game’s continued success.
