Last week, Monster Hunter Wilds made an impressive climb and secured the third spot among the top pre-ordered games on Steam. This demonstrates the significant buzz and anticipation building for Capcom’s upcoming addition to their famed action RPG franchise, set to release on February 28th. Reflecting on 2019, when Monster Hunter Worlds launched, Capcom had disclosed that the PC platform contributed the second-highest sales, marking a positive trend for their PC audience.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike 2 elevated its position to claim the top spot once again, closely followed by Civilization 7, which had a remarkable start at third place when it debuted on February 10th. However, if we consider that its initial ranking came with only a single day of sales data, the strategy game likely outperformed expectations. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, despite crossing the milestone of two million sales, slipped down three spots to fourth place. On the other hand, Apex Legends enjoyed a remarkable jump by twenty-two places to land at fifth, coinciding with a fresh new season of content for players.
Valve’s Steam Deck along with PUBG: Battlegrounds and Marvel Rivals each saw a slight dip, settling into sixth, seventh, and eighth places respectively. The highly anticipated role-playing game, Avowed from Obsidian, made its debut appearance in ninth place. Rounding off the top ten is Warframe, which fortunately climbed two spots to make a return to the list.
