PC gamers, there’s a bit of excitement heading your way! Microsoft’s rolling out a nifty Compact Mode feature for the Xbox Game Bar on PCs. You might remember this was something Xbox App users had access to, but now it’s making its way to PC.
In a recent post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft shared more details about this Compact Mode. For now, it’s available exclusively to Xbox Insiders. This new addition to the Xbox Game Bar is set to simplify things for PC users.
To try out the Xbox Compact Mode, just hit the Windows Key + G to pull up the Xbox Game Bar. From there, head over to the General tab, and you’ll spot the Settings option on the far right. Once you’re in Settings, you’ll find the option to enable Compact Mode.
The introduction of Compact Mode means accessing widgets and navigating is now a breeze. With this feature, you can switch between widgets using the RB and LB buttons on your controller. Want to quit a game? Hop over to the Home widget, select your game, and press close. You can also take a look at your recently played games and easily get to game launchers on your device. Plus, the Widget Store is right at your fingertips via the Widget menu. For a deeper dive into all things Compact Mode, you might want to check out Microsoft’s full post on Xbox Wire.
