In the realm of MMORPGs, finding a game that allows you to multitask—perhaps while catching up on the latest anime on Crunchyroll or listening to a podcast about international baking contests—is quite rare. Most games demand your full attention as you embark on quests, battle hordes of mobs, or team up with random players you may never come across again. However, RuneScape carved out a niche for itself by offering a space where players could enjoy character progression with minimal effort. This is largely thanks to Andrew Gower, one of the creative forces behind RuneScape. After moving on from Jagex, Andrew founded Fen Research and has since launched his first game, Brighter Shores. This new offering is a free-to-play, point-and-click MMORPG now available on Steam. — Brandon Morgan
