PlayStation is rolling out a slew of in-game perks to certain PC games for those who link their PlayStation Network accounts. Among the titles offering these extras are God of War Ragnarok, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. PSN users will find themselves enjoying various bonus content like unique outfits and armor sets, just for logging in while they play.
In recent years, Sony has ramped up its efforts to make its flagship PlayStation exclusives accessible to PC gamers, with significant progress made since 2024. Horizon Zero Dawn’s original version made its way to Windows back in 2020, and its remastered edition debuted simultaneously on PS5 and PC last October. Similarly, God of War Ragnarok, which originally hit shelves in 2022, arrived on PCs by September of the following year.
The trend of porting PlayStation titles to PC is set to continue into 2025. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which originally dropped for PS5 in October 2023, will be available on PC starting January 30. Following suit, the PS5 remaster of The Last of Us Part 2 will be available on Windows on April 3, offering enhanced technical features for those with high-end PCs. Notably, Sony recently dropped the contentious requirement for a PlayStation Network account, a move that has somewhat allayed gamer concerns for these new ports.
On the plus side, PSN account holders have something to gain from playing these ports. For instance, if you log into your PSN account while swinging through Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on your PC, you’ll unlock the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit for Peter Parker and the 2099 Suit for Miles Morales. Fans of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered can also start the game with access to the Nora Valiant outfit—all thanks to their PSN logins.
Here’s a breakdown of the PlayStation perks you can expect so far:
– Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: Get early access to the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit and Miles Morales 2099 Suit.
– God of War Ragnarok: You can find Kratos’s Armor of the Black Bear set at the first Lost Items chest in the Realm Between Realms without starting a New Game Plus, plus a bonus 500 Hacksilver and 250 XP.
– The Last of Us Part II Remastered: Earn 50 points to unlock bonus features and extras, and give Ellie a new look with Jordan’s Jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
– Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: Start with the Nora Valiant outfit.
Sony is collaborating with developers at PlayStation Studios to expand these kinds of bonuses for PC gamers who sign in with their PlayStation Network accounts. However, the need for a PSN account could remain a contentious issue, as the service isn’t available in every region. Nonetheless, fans with access can look forward to some cool extras when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and The Last of Us Part 2 hit PCs.
