Nintendo has officially announced that the upcoming Nintendo Direct, which will focus on the Nintendo Switch 2, is scheduled to air tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2, 2025. They’ve shared that the presentation will last approximately 60 minutes.
You’ll be able to catch the Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 starting at 6 a.m. PT, 9 a.m. ET, 2 p.m. BST, and 3 p.m. CEST.
Last month, Nintendo finally pulled back the curtain on the Nintendo Switch 2 after a whirlwind of rumors, alleged leaks, and rampant speculation had kept fans on their toes. The reveal video offered a glimpse of the console’s sleek new design, treated us to a teaser of an upcoming Mario Kart game, and reassured everyone that the new hardware would indeed support backward compatibility with the original console.
In a recent statement, Nintendo clarified that the Nintendo Switch 2 will support both physical and digital games made for its predecessor. However, they did caution that some existing Nintendo Switch games might not be fully supported or compatible with the new system.
As of now, the Nintendo Switch 2 is on track to make its global debut sometime in 2025, though the exact launch date hasn’t been nailed down yet.
