A fresh chapter is unfolding for the Pantaloon indie games newsletter with the launch of its own publishing label.
This exciting endeavor kicks off with two intriguing games: the narrative-driven Sub-Verge and the unique Solitaire project Occlude. Pantaloon, well-known as a resource hub for indie developers, has already built a strong community with nearly 30,000 subscribers to its newsletter.
Jamin Smith, the brains behind the operation, shares his candid thoughts: “We’re aware that the indie publishing arena is crowded, but our approach is distinct. We leverage an already established platform and offer terms that provide substantial agency and security to developers. We’re on the lookout for unusual or experimental games, those willing to navigate the uncharted and often turbulent waters of gaming genres.”
Smith emphasizes that their motto, “A home for misfits,” is more than just words. It’s a rallying cry for games that defy the norm and don’t fit into conventional publishing molds.
