Every month, PlayStation Plus members eagerly anticipate the free games that come with their subscription. Although May is still a little way off, it seems Sony might have unintentionally given us a sneak peek at what’s in store for next month.
An interesting tidbit popped up on the PlayStation subreddit recently. A Reddit user, Budget-Neat4750, shared a screenshot from the PlayStation Plus section on PS5. At first glance, everything seemed normal, but one detail caught everyone’s attention: the “Monthly Games” option featured Until Dawn. This has led many to think that this gripping horror adventure could be offered in April.
However, that theory doesn’t hold up since April’s lineup is already set with RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. It suggests Sony might have accidentally released a teaser for next month, hinting at what’s to come with the online subscription service.
Adding to the intrigue, the image used to tease Until Dawn’s presence appears to be from the 2024 remaster rather than the original 2015 version. Yet, players who noticed this error confirmed that clicking on the image either leads nowhere or redirects to the 2015 game. It implies that an old image might have been mistakenly uploaded, indicating that the classic version from 2015 could be on the horizon for May’s freebies.
It wouldn’t be shocking if Until Dawn appeared as next month’s PS Plus offering. After all, the timing aligns perfectly with the release of the film adaptation, which hits theaters today. This coincidence could boost interest in both the cinematic and interactive experiences of this horror tale.
For fans eager to dive back into the chilling world of Until Dawn, the remastered version by Baliistic Moon is currently available on both PC and PS5.
