Plus, there’s the curious tale of Alectryon, transformed into a rooster for failing as Ares’ sentinel, and Arachne’s eternal presence at Athena’s loom after besting the goddess in a weaving contest. Additionally, you’ll witness Demeter’s sorrow at losing her daughter Persephone to Hades, depicted through the fluctuating seasons at her temple.
