Rumor has it that Konami Digital Entertainment is gearing up to launch Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on the Nintendo Switch 2. The buzz around this next-gen portable console’s capabilities keeps growing stronger.
An insider who’s quite established in the gaming world, Nate, spilled some intriguing details about third-party games anticipated for the Nintendo Switch 2 during his podcast. Amidst these titles, he mentioned the much-anticipated remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (for more insight, check out Nate the Hate Podcast at about 44 minutes and 31 seconds in).
Nate pointed out, “One of the third-party titles I’ve heard of is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which is slated for 2025. There isn’t a set release date for all the platforms yet, but I’m really hoping it could align with the launch of Switch 2. If it’s set for a Summer 2025 release, ideally, it should coincide with the Switch 2 launch.”
While the internet is abuzz with speculation, the only solid word we have from Nintendo is that they plan to unveil the successor to the Nintendo Switch by the end of March 2025 and confirm that it will maintain compatibility with the original console.
There’s even more chatter today about a possible reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware on Thursday, January 16, followed by a showcase of the software in late February or early March.
All signs point to a global unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 before March 31, 2025, with its release anticipated sometime in 2025.
