Silent North, the latest sandbox survival shooter from Combat Waffle, the creative minds behind Ghosts of Tabor, has just launched in early access for Quest and PC VR headsets.
Drawing inspiration from Face Punch Studio’s legendary PvPvE game Rust from 2013, Silent North throws you into a vast survival world where you set the rules. It’s all about building alliances, backstabbing, or simply exploring the game’s ever-evolving environment.
Scott Albright, the CEO and founder of Combat Waffle Studios, expressed the distinct flair of this new release, stating, “Silent North diverges significantly from Ghosts of Tabor. Here, survival focuses on high-stakes raids intertwined with strategic combat, gear acquisition, and extraction. While the survival genre is rich with sub-genres, immersive VR experiences have been sorely absent—something we are keen to address.”
Naturally, the game includes environmental dangers, aggressive Infected (or, as most call them, zombies), and fellow players battling for their slice of the wild.
Silent North, which is being described as an “alpha Early Access release,” has hit the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and newer devices, as well as PC VR headsets via Steam. It’s currently priced at a reasonable $20.
